Wayward Pines series takes place a hundred years after the humankind almost vanished from the face of Earth. Only one place inhabited by people was left, a town called Wayward Pines founded by scientist David Pilcher. The second season is set three years after the events of the first one, where Group A made nearly all adult inhabitants of Wayward Pines go back to hibernation.

A newcomer appears in town, Theo Yedlin who becomes a witness of a revolt. Yedlin is one of the most important new citizens because he is a doctor. Theo’s appearance will shake balance and order that ruled in the town earlier and this greatly upsets Jason who replaces Pilcher.

It also becomes know that Megan Fisher is alive. And, what’s even more important, an answer to one of the main questions will be found: how were selected those who were to inhabit Wayward Pines. Djimon Hounsou’s character CJ Mitchum — the town’s elder and historian who knows exactly what is happening in wayward Pines — will become one of the key characters of the second season
