Carrie: Lo Sguardo di Satana (1976)

Carrie White, adolescente complessata per l'educazione sbagliata ricevuta dalla madre, è lo zimbello della classe e un giorno subisce le derisioni delle compagne perché, mentre è sotto la doccia, senza alcuna istruzione preventiva subisce le mestruazioni. Sue, una compagna più sensibile, si pente e convince il proprio ragazzo, Tommy Ross, a far da cavaliere a Carrie nel prossimo ballo di fine corso. Un'altra compagna, Chris, punita da una professoressa per il suo atteggiamento verso Carrie, decide invece di vendicarsi. Carrie e Tommy vengono proclamati la più bella coppia della festa ma quando sono sul palco vengono sommersi da sangue di maiale. Carrie, ricorrendo al potere telecinetico di cui sa di essere fornita, provoca un incendio in cui periscono colpevoli e innocenti. Tornata a casa e aggredita dalla mamma, nel medesimo modo uccide la madre e incendia la casa nel cui rogo perisce. Quando Sue si reca a portare fiori sulla disprezzata tomba di Carrie, dal suolo una mano insanguinata la afferra.

Carrie White is a shy young girl who doesn't make friends easily. After her class mates taunt her about her horrified reaction to her totally unexpected first period one of them takes pity on her and gets Tommy Ross, her boyfriend and class hunk to invite Carrie to the senior prom. Meanwhile another girl who has been banned from the prom for her continued aggressive behaviour is not as forgiving and plans a trick to embarrass Carrie in front of the whole school. What she doesn't realise is that Carrie is … gifted, and you really don't want to get her angry.
