The Shannara Chronicles - Pykon S01E06 (2016)

Amberle viene portata da Wil a divertirsi presso i ruderi di un parco giochi. Mentre la principessa e il Mezzo Elfo si stanno baciando, però, Wil si trasforma all’improvviso nel Dagda Mor e Amberle si risveglia in preda al panico capendo che era solo un sogno. La comitiva si rimette in viaggio verso la Malaterra ma decide di evitare un incontro con il Mietitore, così Cephalo propone di attraversare il Baluardo, una fortezza elfica, situato su una montagna innevata. Il gruppo non senza difficoltà arriva alla miniera dove viene accolto da un elfo di nome Dontes Remikin detto Remo e da sua figlia Mag che offre agli ospiti cibo e riposo. Ben presto però il cibo mangiato fa cadere Wil e gli altri in un sonno profondo. Mentre Wil viene chiuso e sorvegliato in una stanza dalla figlia di Remo, gli altri vengono incatenati. Fra questi Amberle viene scelta come prima vittima da torturare e poi uccidere, proprio in quel momento l'intervento di Wil (che intanto aveva convinto la bambina a liberarlo) salva la situazione mettendo K.O l'elfo.

Questo nuovo serial è che si ispira al secondo libro della prima trilogia di Brooks, Le pietre magiche di Shannara. Sarà composto da dieci puntate. La storia è ambientata nelle Quattro Terre, centinaia di anni dopo una guerra che ha distrutto gran parte della civiltà. E racconta le vicende della giovane elfo Amberle Elessedil, di Wil Ohmsford, metà elfo e metà umano, e di Eretriasalvare. La loro missione? Salvare l’albero elfico Ellcrys e difendere le Quattro Terre dai demoni.

Storyline
While camping, Amberle has a romantic dream about Wil. As a snow storm comes their way, the group decides to take a shortcut to Wilderun by passing through Pykon, a snowy Elven outpost. As they get there, they are welcomed by Mag, a mysterious child, and Remo, an elf who is the property's caretaker. Elsewhere, Reaper rises from the ashes of the explosion and follows the group's tracks. Remo reveals himself to be a torturer seeking revenge. As he begins to torture Amberle, Wil is able to stop him with the help of Mag. The group tries to escape Pykon when the Reaper reaches them. Crispin is killed while fighting it. Wil, Amberle and Eretria fall down the hill with Reaper. In Arborlon, the Changeling, disguised as the King, convinces Arion to find an ancient sword said to possess power to defeat Dagda Mor. Once Arion succeeds, he is confronted by Allanon who reveals that the weapon is a talisman of evil and a danger to all. Arion then stabs Allanon, removing him from existence. Meanwhile, Ander and Slanter find Dagda Mor’s horde of demons.

The Shannara Chronicles is an American fantasy drama television series created by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar. It is an adaptation of the Shannara series of fantasy novels by Terry Brooks, primarily The Sword of Shannara Trilogy. It is filmed in the Auckland Film Studios and on location elsewhere in New Zealand, and premiered on MTV in the United States on January 5, 2016. The first season will consist of 10 episodes.
