Une grande chaîne de télévision privée suisse alimente ses programmes en achetant des faits divers à ceux qui les ont vécus. C'est ainsi qu'un jeune scénariste est envoyé auprès de Rosemonde, qui a tué un homme qui tentait de la violer. Mais Rosemonde est incapable de revivre son passé. On délegue alors Marie, jeune comédienne, en lui promettant le rôle du film si elle parvient à la faire parler. Une drôle de relation s'installe entre les deux filles…
A large private television station has just been established in Switzerland. A communications company is given the task of drawing up concepts for programmes and decides to buy the rights for the stories of various criminals, for script development. A mysterious woman, Rosemonde, decides to sell her story. Eight years ago, she killed the man who tried to rape her. As there was no witness, the case was dismissed for lack of evidence. Kevin, from the production company, gives Paul, a young writer, the task of writing the script of Rosemonde's life. Although formerly eager to tell her tale, Rosemonde appears to be incapable of recalling her past and clams up when Paul approaches her with his intense questioning. Marie, a young actress, is then asked to visit Rosemonde, and is promised the role in the film if she can make her talk. The strange relationship between the two women gradually turns into a friendship.
