    Aldo, Giovanni e Giacomo, salgono su una tartaruga come viaggiatori dello spazio su un'astronave, ed esplorano con stupore e tremore "le grand bleu", proponendosi a loro volta come simpatica guida alla visione per il pubblico dei più piccoli. Del trio udiamo solo le voci e percepiamo l'incertezza rispetto alla loro natura: "da grandi" saranno enormi squali balena o piccoli pesci pagliaccio? Megattere o leoni marini? Meravigliose ballerine spagnole o velenosissimi serpenti? Per ora –s'intuisce presto- non sono che uova, cosebuffe, testetonde, che nuotano nel brodo primordiale.
    Versione italianissima di una pellicola francese, prodotta da Jean-Michel Cousteau, figlio di Jacques, e realizzata dai fratelli Mantello, non mira ad un pubblico di scienziati o specialisti bensì al maggior numero di curiosi possibile, un conto potenzialmente altissimo, dato che si stima che solo meno dell'1% della popolazione mondiale abbia mai visitato il mondo sottomarino.
