Walk on Water (original Hebrew title: ללכת על המים; English transliteration: Lalekhet Al HaMayim) is an Israeli film released in 2004. It stars Lior Ashkenazi, Knut Berger, and Caroline Peters. It was directed by New York-born Israeli director Eytan Fox. The screenplay was written by Gal Uchovsky. Most of the dialogue takes place in English, although there is much in Hebrew and German. Its name derives in part from Jesus' walking on water. Eyal is an agent in Mossad, the Israeli security service. He is a hitman who targets enemies of Israel. His wife has recently committed suicide, and the agency decides that he needs to take on a less challenging assignment: to find an aging Nazi war criminal and get him "before God does".

Eyal est un agent du Mossad, les services secrets israéliens. Sa nouvelle mission est de retrouver la trace d'un ancien officier nazi, Alfred Himmelman. Pour mener son enquête, Eyal va servir de guide touristique au petit-fils d'Himmelman, Axel, venu en Israël rendre visite à sa sœur. Celle–ci vit dans un kibboutz depuis qu'elle s'est brouillée avec sa famille. Axel veut essayer de la convaincre de revenir avec lui en Allemagne pour l'anniversaire de leur père. Malgré leurs personnalités contrastées, Eyal et Axel sympathisent. Même si parfois le machisme et le conservatisme d'Eyal se heurtent aux vues libérales d'Axel. Alors qu'Axel rentre en Allemagne sans sa soeur, le Mossad suspecte l'ex-nazi Himmelman de vouloir refaire surface pour la fête d'anniversaire du père d'Axel. Eyal est envoyé en Allemagne avec mission de se rapprocher d'Axel pour découvrir la vérité sur sa famille. Rendu lui-même très vulnérable après le suicide de sa femme, Eyal devra avant tout découvrir certaines vérités sur lui-même.
