Der erste Teil befasst sich mit den Panzereinsätzen während des Angriffs der deutschen Truppen auf Polen im Jahre 1939, sowie während der Angriffe auf Holland, Frankreich und Belgien 1940, bei denen etwa 2.500 Panzer eingesetzt wurden.
