The twenty-one year-old Timothy "Tim" Allen Russell is discharged from a mental institution by his psychiatric Dr. Shawn Graham completely healed from a childhood trauma.

Something is missing in Tom's life. Every day he goes through the motions, becoming increasingly detached from those around him.

The story follows the sporadic reunions of six friends during the seven year period of their integration into society. The reunions take place on their ancestral island, the setting of their common past. Every time they return 'home' they carry with them the results of their personal choices. They also carry with them the effects of modern Greek society, a society the slowly but surely changes them, weathering their relationships, until they gradually lose contact with each other. The end of this epoch, will find them dispersed, confronting the dawn of an era where the pursuit of individual ambitions reigns.

A strange murder mystery tale about a lady who asks a forgery artist (Hiroyuki Sanada) to forge a series of rare bondage / torture paintings for her. Upon discovering that the client was actually the original model in those paintings, he murders her.
The first half of the film focuses on all of the main characters, including the buildup to the crime. There is not much mystery here as they clearly show how, when & where the crime was committed. Then the movie goes on with how the investigation takes place - led by Kogoro Akechi (which by the way, happens to be Japan’s most recognized ’super detective’ on par with Sherlock Holmes).

A grotesquely disfigured harpooner called Iguana is severely mistreated by his fellow sailors on a whaling ship in the 19th century. One night he escapes and takes up residence on a remote island. He makes himself ruler of the island and declares war on mankind. Anyone unfortunate enough to wind up on the island with Iguana is subjected to his cruel tyranny.
