Roger Earl Mosley (born December 18, 1938 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actor best known for his role as the helicopter pilot Theodore "T.C." Calvin on the long running television series, Magnum, P.I., which starred Tom Selleck as the title character. Mosley grew up in the Imperial Courts project in Watts, one of the most dangerous parts of the inner city. In 1974, he founded the Watts Repertory Company. Mosley's most prominent film role was his 1976 starring turn as the title character in Leadbelly, directed by Gordon Parks. Mosley is a member and Director of the Director's Guild of America and a member of the Writer's Guild of America and the Screen Actor's Guild. He has written and directed for television, film and stage. He has also produced and directed music videos and commercials. He was among the earliest African-American directors in the television field.
