A feast for the eyes and ears, with sumptuous cinematography and a soundtrack that provides a wonderful introduction to classical Iranian music.

The film opens in the early 20th century with a French railway engineer, Monsieur Jolie, receiving authorisation from Iranian monarch Ahmad Shah Qajar to take a group of musicians to Paris in order to make the first-ever recording of Persian classical music.

The talented musicians gather under the direction of Master Delnavaz and make the journey, only to find themselves abandoned and penniless in the French capital. Will they manage to overcome the obstacles that fate has thrown in their path…?

Ali Hatami did it again. Probably for the last time in his great life, he made a movie that will keep his name above all other directors . He has gathered all these superstars including:Amin Tarokh, Akbar Abdi, Hamid Jebeli, Mohammad ALi Keshavarz, Jalal Moghaddam, Jamshid HAshempoor and her daughter, Leila Hatami to make the one and only musical film of our country, Iran. While Ahmad Shah Ghajar is ruling in Iran, a French businessman takes responsibility to take some of the best Iranian musicians to Paris and record some of the oldest Iranian traditional songs and music. Agha Hosein Delnavaz takes responsibility of the artists. The French businessman leaves them by themselves when they reach Paris, but Agha Hosein Delnavaz sells his home to provide the money to finish the job and record the songs. The money of selling the house also finishes and the group now has to put a concert to make money. In the concert, Taher Khan who is the singer sings so deeply and puts the light back in the eyes of a Turkish Princes. Taher Khan dies in doing that and the rest of the group leave France to Iran by the ship. The ship sinks by the flames of the first world war, with all the records and artists in it. I don't know why, but I cried watching this movie and that doesn't happen often. The songs by Mohammadreza Shajarian and the traditional music is so deep and so strong that can make anybody cry. The feelings are very strong and the end kills you. Watching this movie is a must for whoever who loves films, musics, or love.
