A Christmas album full of wonderful classics interpreted by the two top Dutch artists Fay Claassen and Cor Bakker, as a CD in a digipack with a 12-page booklet on JazzJazz. Christmas, the time of festivity, hope and warmth in the company of loved ones. A time for family and togetherness, when intimacy and contemplation are important.

With this in mind, singer and four-time Edison Jazz winner Fay Claassen and pianist and TV star Cor Bakker have come together to tell a musical story. On "Christmas Time Is Here", the duo interpret well-known and classic Christmas songs in their very own way and complement each other seamlessly. This can be heard right from the title track, which was written in 1965 for the animated film "A Charlie Brown Christmas". Fay and Cor were also inspired by Karen Carpenter in "Sleigh Ride" and the classic sounds of "Silent Night".

There is also a touch of jazz from Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong in "The Christmas Song" and "What A Wonderful World", and the hit "Riding Home For Christmas" by Chris Rea has a slight Latin twist. Two Dutch songs are also included: "Tweedehands Sneeuw" and "Het Wonder". Saxophonist Paul Heller (WDR Big Band), Fay's husband, produced this wonderfully festive album.
