"I have chosen three cornerstones of the French organ repertoire, three musical monuments appreciated, known, explored and analyzed from all angles. However, by choosing such an important program, I wanted to try to follow the path of musical research that led these three young composers to conceive these three masterpieces so different but composed in a common period. This organ possesses enormous expressive resources and at the same time has the charm of an instrument linked to a tradition of the art of regional organ building, more in relation to the resources of the territory on which it is located and less characterized by the achievement of a predefined standard such as that of the great organ house of Cavaillé-Coll. My hope is that the listener of this album will be able to relate the essential differences that characterize the richness of the music of Duruflé, Alain and Messiaen: to lose oneself in the first's deep search for a harmonious and formal beauty, to then enter into the heart of the experience of the second's life story, in the tense fresco of the Three Dances. To finally ascend to the upper world of Messiaen, who, looking up at the reflections of the light and the songs of the birds, succeeds in transporting the music to the completely other.
