This is a recording of a hardly popular musical style called "kroncong", an exotic laid-back beat of Portuguese origin. It was brought into southern Asia by Portuguese settlers during 16th century, and become popular in Indonesia during the 1960s.
The songs in this album were written mostly during and slightly after World War II era, all in Indonesian language. The album was recorded at Irama Studio, Jakarta, Indonesia, 1965. Five vocalists of Tetap Segar group sung the songs directed by Rudi Pirngadi. The LP was pressed and distributed in Netherland and Belgium by Dureco (Dutch Record Company).
