À travers une sélection d'œuvres emblématiques et de pièces plus rares, la pianiste Sylviane Deferne explore la dualité schumanienne, tantôt solaire, tantôt tourmentée. Des élans juvéniles (Variations Abegg) aux dernières compositions (les crépusculaires Chants de l'aube), la musique de Schumann chemine sur la crête.
Zwielicht cartographie ainsi les paysages intérieurs de Schumann, captant chaque variation de lumière, et invite à écouter ces pages comme on observe un ciel changeant, entre fragile clarté et ombres mouvantes.
Through a selection of emblematic works and lesser-known pieces, pianist Sylviane Deferne explores the duality at the heart of Schumann’s music – at times radiant, at times tormented.
From the youthful energy of the Abegg Variations to the final compositions (Gesänge der Frühe), Schumann’s music traces a path along a fragile ridge.
