    It should be against the law to place 30 minutes of music on one side of wax. This is one of the most difficult albums I've ever ripped. I bought and returned 3 used copies of this from 1/2 price books. Each of them looked "mint" but had so much surface noise even click repair couldn't help. Fortunately GARYBX lent me a copy which turned out very nice.

    Before I uploaded this I listened to the CD and was very surprised to find out it had little or no more bass than the vinyl. The only way to squeeze 30 minutes of music on one side of wax is to lower the level and reduce the bass. The CD should have had a much more powerful low end so I'm guessing they used the same master tape for both issues. Unfortunately they still had to lower the level for the vinyl.

    You're going to hear more "wax" in the quieter moments (of which there are many) than usual but after listening to both the CD and vinyl, I think you'll find my rip a more pleasant listening experience. The CD was released before the "loudness wars" but the vinyl, ripped in native 24/96, still has a bit more "warmth" and ambiance.
