Pee Wee had one of the most distinctive sounds in jazz music and is one of the giants of classical jazz - who played distinctively within classical genres, but also ventured into modern jazz. The almost ethereal sound of his clarinet - woody, tart and lyrical - is a revelation. allmusic 3/5 stars downbeat 3.5/5 stars
