    Mahaleo, qui signifie libre en malgache, est le nom d'un groupe de musique de Madagascar. Les sept musiciens, Dama, Dadah, Bekoto, Fafa, Nono, Charles et Raoul sont également docteur, chirurgien, agriculteur, sociologue ou député. En suivant ce groupe qui chante depuis les années 1970, le film nous offre une vision contemporaine de Madagascar.

    Mahaleo is the most famous band in Madagascar. In Malagasy "Mahaleo" means free, independent, self-sufficient. The 7 musicians of the band have never fallen into "show-business" despite 30 years of success. They chose to remain "amateurs" and they dedicate their efforts to a "real" profession aside from the music. They are hysician, surgeons, farmer, lawyer, sociologist or deputy. Driven by yhe strength of their songs and their activities our film will sketch a portrait of Madagascar today.

    After a harrowing ride through the Carpathian mountains in eastern Europe, Renfield enters castle Dracula to finalize the transferral of Carfax Abbey in London to Count Dracula, who is in actuality a vampire.     Ich muss zugeben, dass ich mir von der DVD nicht so viel versprochen habe. Es war deshalb um so schöner positiv überrascht zu werden. M.E. wird hier sehr gut die chronolgisch aufgebaute Geschichte der Ereignisse vom Polenfeldzug bis zur Endschlacht um Berlin aus Sicht der Landser erzählt. Mit einer Spur Galgenhumor und viel Sarkassmus wird der Zuschauer durch die Ereignisse der Zeit mit hervorragenden Bilderm, die man zum Teil kennt aber oftmals noch nie gesehen hat geleitet. Sehr beeindurckt haben mich nie gesehene Szenen der Eisenbahngeschütze Dora und Leopold. Auch der Mörser Karl kommt in eigen Szenen sehr gut zur Geltung. Diese DVD ist ein Muss (schon des Preises wegen) für alle wehrgeschichtlich Interessierten, die beeindruckende Bilder ohne Vorwürfe, Verurteilungen und übertriebenen Pathos anschauen möchten.
