For her seventh studio album, Canadian singer-songwriter and jazz pianist Anne Bisson has once again teamed up with her longtime musical partners Paul Brochu (drums) and Jean-Bertrand Carbou (bass). "Be My Lover" is not a typical collection of jazz ballads sung by a female-loving voice. Bisson knows how to put her unmistakable stamp on the well-known titles with her arrangements, combining Emerson Lake and Palmer with Vangelis, Van Morrison, Paul Simon, Roy Orbison and her own compositions.
