Haley Jack Field - A Letting Go (Deluxe) (2025) [Official Digital Download]

Based in Nashville, singer-songwriter Haley Jack Field recently released the deluxe edition of her 2024 debut album, A Letting Go. Co-written by Field and producer/collaborator Chase Coy, the album was recorded at Nashville’s Hazy Lane Productions.

The expanded version includes a reimagined interpretation of “Under,” a duet with Cayley Spivey, along with a brand-new track, “What I Gave To God,” revealing Field’s aching disenchantment with organized religion and the emotional and spiritual liberation of her eventual letting go, leading to the discovery of her true identity.

Field explains, explains, “‘What I Gave To God’ is really the culmination of my journey of losing god and finding myself. Getting to film the music video in the very room in which I lost myself to religion years ago brought me full circle. I hope this song brings a little spark to anyone who has had a similar journey.”

Originally from Texas, on A Letting Go (Deluxe), Field delves into motifs of self-discovery, heartache, betrayal, and sapphic love.

Encompassing 14 tracks, entry points on A Letting Go (Deluxe) include the low-slung, poignant “Lying,” drenched in melancholic tones evoking the haunting feelings of love lost through insincerity.
A personal favorite because of its gentle, drifting sensation, “Wish You Were Here” allows Field to invest her evocative voice with exquisite longing and profound passion. For some reason, the song summons up the effortless, emotional soulfulness of Christopher Cross, at once beautiful and devoted.
“What I Gave To God” rolls out on a more forceful rhythm, topped by layers of sparkling, shimmering textures. Field’s assertive vocals add intense timbres tinted with hints of newfound realization, imbuing the lyrics with a sense of regret for lost innocence.
