Kari Bremnes is currently working on NYE 6 new songs on the EP "Ennu her" which came out in september.
About the title she says: I have called the record "still here" because it is true. That we're here now. Time. So simple and of course, but occasionally big and strange to think about. We talk, think, scroll, listen to music, dream, laugh, breathe, love. Looking ahead, looking back, stroking a cat, crossing a street, moving on. We who can. Because we're still here.
Kari Bremnes has in recent years mostly done concerts with her entire band. But occasionally she does a few exclusive concerts in duo format with Bengt Hanssen on keyboards and vocals. He is also a producer for Kari's releases.
In the duo, we want to maintain much of the dynamic range in the music, even though there are only two of us on stage, says Kari. With the help of a fairly extensive keyboard layout, we give the audience a larger sound world than in a classic duo format. Both the songs and the concerts are good. In addition to Kari and Bengt, sound engineer Geir Oostensoe is a key co-musician in the crew. At these concerts, the audience will get to hear a wide variety of the nye songs and songs from her entire catalog.
