Sun After Dark mixes modern elements, dark sounds, black metal and powerful moods to tell stories about the experiences of life!

Sun After Dark is a project by Benjamin König from Germany. Benjamin König was a founding member of the black metal band Lunar Aurora (1994-2012). There he was mainly responsible for the composition of 9 albums and various compilations. With Sun After Dark he has now created his own debut album entitled "Tatkraft".

The music on "Tatkraft" is a mixture of modern elements, black metal, dark tones, heavy guitars, powerful moods and a little pinch of legends. Life consists of stories, experiences and episodes. Mastering them often requires energy. This album is about such experiences and stories. Implemented with energy! The texts are in English, German and Bavarian dialect. Since Benjamin König comes from Upper Bavaria, it was obvious to use his native dialect in some song passages. Produced by Victor Bullok (Triptykon) at Woodshed Studio, Fall 2024.

As part of their collaboration, Thomas Helm and Benjamin König decided to continue this project together in the future. So after the album "Tatkraft" it is now a duo project. Sun After Dark is a pure studio project and no concerts are planned. The participants in this project have their own well-known bands and can also be seen on stage there.
