    Одним из итогов войны в Корее стал вывод о необходимости создания нового истребителя, превосходящего советский МиГ-15. Такой самолет был спроектирован на базе учебно-тренировочной машины Т - 38 `Тэлон`. Убрав вторую кабину и установив пушечное вооружение конструкторы сумели сделать хороший маневренный самолет, имевший кроме всего прочего одно важное преимущество - низкую стоимость. Изначально его планировали поставлять в развивающиеся страны по программе военной помощи, но вспыхнувшая война во Вьетнаме призвала F - 5 под знамена ВВС США и здесь самолет активно использовался против партизанских и разведывательных операций. Впрочем, боевая карьера самолета была не слишком долгой, а вот в ВВС многих стран мира F - 5 эксплуатировался до начала 1980-х годов…
    Фильм серии Great Planes от Discovery с двумя звуковыми дорожками: оригинальной и переводом от студии "Крылья России". Разбит на пять частей (четыре по 100МБ, пятая 15МБ). Зеркала взаимозаменяемы.

    This production of “Swan Lake” unites power, perfection and grace in a magical way. In wonderful stage designs, classical music and tradition of ballet melt with Eastern acrobatic to a unique show.

    From Jan Kounen, the French director of the violent cult actioner Dobermann, comes this loose adaptation of Jean "Mobius" Giraud's comic series Blueberry. Led by a German con man by the name of Prosit (an unrecognizable Eddie Izzard), Blount and his crew search for an ancient treasure buried deep within Indian tribal grounds, while Blueberry and his Indian friend Runi (Temuera Morrison) race to keep the land sacred and stop the thieves by any means possible. Featuring Juliette Lewis and her father, Geoffrey Lewis, in supporting roles, the film sports a solid American cast that boasts an additional performance by Colm Meaney and a rare appearance by none other than Ernest Borgnine.

Yesterday claims she was named so by her father because 'things were better yesterday'. A bold statement given South Africa's painful history, but given how the AIDS epidemic has affected the region, it is sadly clear to see how some can come to that conclusion. Set against the stunning, harsh landscapes of South Afica's Zululand, director Darrell Roodt (Sarafina!, Cry the Beloved Country) insists his film is not a message movie, but a timely depiction of how devastating the disease is for the individual.
