This is the first of the MGM Tarzan films featuring Olympic medalist Johnny Weismuller in the titular role. It is new out on DVD, in a box set that contains the first six (out of twelve) that he would make. His co-star in these first six films (though I think she disappears in the latter six) is Maureen O'Sullivan, one of the greatest beauties Hollywood ever knew. They are the perfect Tarzan and Jane. Tarzan the Ape Man is extraordinary. The second film of the series, Tarzan and His Mate, is an acknowledged masterpiece of the adventure drama, but I'd almost rank Ape Man aside with it. It is beautifully done in every way, fun and exciting, but also at lengths gentle, charming, and downright erotic. There's a long scene where Tarzan and Jane play in the water. It's so sweet and so sexy. There's hardly any background music to the film, which sets it apart from many in its era that overused their musical scores. Long scenes are played out silently. There is no attempt to make up for a lack of dialogue. Of course, since this is the first time Tarzan meets men (at least white men), he doesn't speak much except for a few grunts to his chimpanzee buddies. It's quite amazing how much attention and care is put into the way Tarzan behaves, how he has become chimp-like. I also begin to notice with this film how good an actor Johnny Weismuller is. Tarzan the Ape Man is really a wonderful film.

Although slow, meandering, and more or less uneventful, Lost in Love overcomes the odds and makes for a surprisingly compelling viewing experience. Director Choo Chang-Min's second film amounts to an excellent rumination on the perils of unspoken love and missed opportunities.

From writer/director Choo Chang-Min comes Lost in Love, a 2006 melodrama about two people who can never seem to get things right when it comes to romance - they either can't adequately communicate their feelings to one another or simply lack the courage to even try. Unlike other recent films of this kind, rather than throw in a terminal illness or have someone fall victim to a car accident somewhere in the story, the filmmakers wisely avoid these K-drama clichés, instead delivering a film that feels anything but formulaic. The pace may be a bit slow, but it's a compelling journey nonetheless.

Song Yoon-Ah portrays Yeon-Ju, a timid young girl who maintains a secret crush on her platonic male friend, Woo-Jae (Sol Kyung-Gu, from Public Enemy and Peppermint Candy). Her shyness frequently gets the better of her, and she can only stand idly by and watch as Woo-Jae suffers a broken heart at the hands of his ex-girlfriend and, consequently, get kicked off the school's crew team due to his resulting attitude problem. Later, while Woo-Jae is in the army, Yeon-Ju visits him, hoping to spend the night with him. Unfortunately, just as in their school days, Woo-Jae is totally oblivious to her intentions, and a disappointed Yeon-Ju goes home.

In a way, Life Track is the ultimate docudrama; it literally turns the camera into the characters themselves, seeing what they see through their eyes. This technique forces the audience to pay attention to every single shot just to figure out who's actually in the scene. The reason for this technique is obvious: Life Track's two protagonists – an armless man and a deaf-mute woman – have so little dialogue or notable character development that the only way the filmmakers can get us to understand their lives is to actually put us in their lives, hoping that we will somehow know the feeling of being both armless and deaf-mute within the film's running time.

His injuries result in his being paralyzed form the waist down, and doctors tell him that if he doesn't have an operation within a few months, the paralysis will be permanent. His friends in the police department decide that, since the underworld was responsible for their friend's injuries, the money for the operation should come from them, and they set out to get it.

In 16th-century Prague, a Jewish rabbi creates a giant creature from clay, called the Golem, and using sorcery, brings the creature to life in order to protect the Jews of Prague from persecution. Unfortunately, his evil assistant manages to take control of the Golem, and uses it to commit crimes to enrich him, and finally has it kidnap the rabbi's beautiful daughter. However, the Golem–which had been given human emotions by the rabbi–finally rebels against the assistant's misuse of him.

Cool McCool was an animated series that ran on NBC from September 10, 1966 to August 30, 1969 with two episodes per show, running to 40 episodes in all. It was created by Bob Kane – most famous as the creator of Batman – and produced by Al Brodax for King Features.

This story, possibly the most famous of all American tales (its very title has become a catchphrase), was largely envisioned in this version by a European: Maurice Tourneur. Yes, some filmbuffs like to think the American co-director, Clarence Brown, more responsible for the movie's quality; even Brown himself (after Tourneur's death) claimed he filmed most of it. This is a hard claim to believe because Tourneur, whose reputation was virtually second only to Griffith at the time, was the one who hired Brown, largely to shoot the outdoor scenes.
