Daniella Rivera - Canciones de la Huerta (2023) [Official Digital Download]

A dozen micro-songs of less than a minute was the origin. The Chilean violinist and composer Daniella Rivera created this small soundtrack for a radio drama premiered during the pandemic, and two years later the work grew to give rise to her first album, “Canciones de la huerta”, which the author will present with a concert this Thursday, December 7 at 20:00 in the SCD Room of the Bellavista neighborhood, at 110 Santa Filomena Street, Recoleta commune in Santiago.

”It was the little seed," Daniella now remarks about those initial compositions, because in fact the songs of her garden are referred to living beings that are largely born from seeds. The peumo, the choclo and the quinoa, in addition to the puma or the bee, are protagonists of the ten compositions of the album, which Daniella Rivera will put on stage at the concert with several guest voices in those songs, such as those of Nano Stern, Sol del Río, AlegriAle, Marcelo Vergara and the duo Camila and Silvio.
