Astor Piazzolla (1921–1992) revolutionized traditional tango by creating Tango Nuevo, a genre that fused traditional Argentine sounds with elements of jazz, classical music, and even rock. His compositions shifted tango from the dance halls to the concert stage, emphasizing intricate harmonies and intense emotion. While the album is a 2026 compilation, it consists of original recordings where Piazzolla plays his signature instrument, the bandoneón. These tracks are digitally remastered to take advantage of Qobuz's Hi-Res audio formats. The distinct, breathy, and percussive sound of the lead instrument is Piazzolla himself. Most of these recordings feature his famous Quinteto Tango Nuevo, including legendary collaborators like Fernando Suárez Paz (violin) and Pablo Ziegler (piano).

French easy listening legend Paul Mauriat, best known for the worldwide smash "Love Is Blue," paid loving tribute to Brazilian music with Brasil Exclusivamente Vol. 3, originally released in 1980. The 10-track collection features Mauriat's signature lush orchestral arrangements of beloved Brazilian compositions, including Ivan Lins' "Começar de Novo," Antônio Carlos Jobim's "Estrada do Sol," and Roberto Carlos' "Na Paz do Seu Sorriso". The album also includes interpretations of Rita Lee's "Mania de Você" and João Nogueira's "Súplica," alongside originals like "Estrela Radiante". One standout track, "Infinito Desejo," gained particular recognition in Japan as the theme music for the long-running radio program "Ōsawa Yūri no Yūyū Waid".

Maracanós, the new collaborative album by Brazilian pianist, composer, and producer Ricardo Bacelar and legendary percussionist Airto Moreira, will be released worldwide on April 24, 2026, via Jasmin Music. The largely instrumental project features a special appearance by acclaimed vocalist Flora Purim and will be available simultaneously across major international markets, including Brazil, the United States, Portugal, France, Germany, China, and Japan.

The trio featured in this project pays tribute to some of the great composers/interpreters of South American culture and what it has done for the universe by weaving the thin thread that binds the past to the present. In other words, Paolo Fresu wrote some texts in Sardinian on the music of Linx. Linx adapted some English texts for Pablo Milanés and Famke Sinninghe Damsté as well as writing some texts in Dutch for Milton Nascimento. Beytelmann composed from the world of Piazzolla and embellished Linx's and Fresu's poetry with his touch. Trama Latina is in short, a tribute to the energy that swings between continents and cultures.

“De un siglo anterior” is Bunbury’s new album, and it is undoubtedly a celebration of the passage of time, looking to the future with enthusiasm and a sense of wonder. Recorded in the Desierto de los Leones (Mexico), it was produced by Bunbury himself along with Ramón Gacías. They entered the studio in February 2025 with the intention of exploring the possibilities of combining Latin music with other genres, opening themselves up to the harmonic and rhythmic possibilities of its patterns and lyrics. In August of the same year, they returned to the studio to finalize the mixing, and then in Los Angeles, California, Tom Baker handled the mastering.
