BOWIE - LEGACY will be released via Parlophone in November. The album collects together a selection of Bowie’s most popular tracks and singles, from 1969’s ‘Space Oddity’, through to the final singles ‘Lazarus’ and ‘I Can’t Give Everything Away’, issued earlier this year. Remember That Night is a live concert recording of Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour's solo concerts at the Royal Albert Hall on 29, 30 & 31 May 2006 as part of his On an Island tour. The title is taken from a line in the song "On an Island". It has been released on both DVD and Blu-ray formats. The DVD version came out 17 September 2007 in the UK, Europe and Australia, and on 18 September 2007 in the USA and Canada. The Blu-ray version was released on 20 November 2007.

The last major studio sessions in the career of Elvis Presley have finally been gathered together for the first time in one comprehensive package, as ELVIS AT STAX: DELUXE EDITION. The deluxe 3-CD box set, a 40th anniversary chronicle of a dozen nights that Presley spent at Stax Recording Studios in his hometown of Memphis in July and December 1973.
ELVIS AT STAX: DELUXE EDITION bristles with energy and dynamism. The proof is in the six consecutive singles that the Stax sessions produced, all of which skirted the Top 40 from 1973 to 1975. In effect, they rivaled some of the hottest streaks that Presley had charted a decade earlier.

La Femme Nikita earned a cult following as a French film, was a disaster as an American remake titled Point of New Return and then appeared in its (presumably) final incarnation as a cult television show for the cable network, USA. The television show turned out to be a much bigger success than anyone imagined, which meant the appearance of a soundtrack was inevitable. Fortunately, the resulting disc is actually quite enjoyable. Like many late '90s soundtracks, La Femme Nikita's foundation is electronica, particularly trip-hop, balanced by moody alternative pop. The blend of the two genres is quite alluring, even if some of the cuts are a little bland. Nevertheless, cuts by Mono, Morcheeba, Depeche Mode, Curve, Fluke, Gus Gus, Morphine and DJ Keoki, as well as Mark Snow's theme, makes the record worthwhile. Review by Stephen Thomas Erlewine

A sequel of sorts to ABKCO’s three boxes of singles replicas from the mid-2000s, Universal’s The Singles: 1971-2006 is a gargantuan 45-disc box set that offers single replicas of every 45 the Rolling Stones released between Sticky Fingers and A Bigger Bang. Singles that saw release over multiple formats, whether they’re 12" dance singles or multi-format CD singles, see their various B-sides combined onto one CD, resulting in a whopping total of 173 tracks, 80 of which are “not currently available on official release.” This is a true statement but it greatly overestimates the actual number of genuine rarities here: most of these cuts are dubs, remixes, and extended versions, with only a small handful of B-sides being non-LP cuts…
