Schrödinger Equations in Nonlinear Systems (Repost)

Schrödinger Equations in Nonlinear Systems by Wu-Ming Liu , Emmanuel Kengne
    English | EPUB (True) | 2019 | 576 Pages | ISBN : 9811365806 | 159 MB

This book explores the diverse types of Schrödinger equations that appear in nonlinear systems in general, with a specific focus on nonlinear transmission networks and Bose–Einstein Condensates. In the context of nonlinear transmission networks, it employs various methods to rigorously model the phenomena of modulated matter-wave propagation in the network, leading to nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) equations. Modeling these phenomena is largely based on the reductive perturbation method, and the derived NLS equations are then used to methodically investigate the dynamics of matter-wave solitons in the network. In the context of Bose–Einstein condensates (BECs), the book analyzes the dynamical properties of NLS equations with the external potential of different types, which govern the dynamics of modulated matter-waves in BECs with either two-body interactions or both two- and three-body interatomic interactions.

Nonlinear Systems: Dynamics, Control, Optimization and Applications to the Science and Engineering, Second Edition by Quanxin Zhu

    English | PDF | 2025 | 374 Pages | ISBN : N/A | 13.2 MB

Open Mathematics is a challenging notion for theoretical modeling, technical analysis, and numerical simulation in the fields of physics and mathematics, among others, as highly correlated nonlinear phenomena, evolving over a large range of time and length scales, control the underlying systems and processes in their spatiotemporal evolution. Indeed, available data, be they physical, biological, or financial, and technologically complex systems and stochastic systems, such as mechanical or electronic devices, can be managed from the same conceptual approach, both analytically and through computer simulation, using effective nonlinear dynamics methods.

lgebraic Identification and Estimation Methods in Feedback Control Systems presents a model-based algebraic approach to online parameter and state estimation in uncertain dynamic feedback control systems. This approach evades the mathematical intricacies of the traditional stochastic approach, proposing a direct model-based scheme with several easy-to-implement computational advantages. The approach can be used with continuous and discrete, linear and nonlinear, mono-variable and multi-variable systems. The estimators based on this approach are not of asymptotic nature, and do not require any statistical knowledge of the corrupting noises to achieve good performance in a noisy environment. These estimators are fast, robust to structured perturbations, and easy to combine with classical or sophisticated control laws.

Weakly Nonlinear Systems: With Applications in Communications Systems by Federico Beffa
    English | PDF EPUB (True) | 2023 | 376 Pages | ISBN : 303140680X | 30.4 MB

The book covers a large class of nonlinear systems with many practical engineering applications. The approach is based on the extension of linear systems theory using the Volterra series. In contrast to the few existing treatments, our approach highlights the algebraic structure underlying such systems and is based on Schwartz’s distributions (rather than functions). The use of distributions leads naturally to the convolution algebras of linear time-invariant systems and the ones suitable for weakly nonlinear systems emerge as simple extensions to higher order distributions, without having to resort to ad hoc operators.

Cell-to-Cell Mapping: A Method of Global Analysis for Nonlinear Systems by C. S. Hsu
    English | PDF | 1987 | 364 Pages | ISBN : 1441930833 | 29.73 MB

For many years, I have been interested in global analysis of nonlinear systems. The original interest stemmed from the study of snap-through stability and jump phenomena in structures. For systems of this kind, where there exist multiple stable equilibrium states or periodic motions, it is important to examine the domains of attraction of these responses in the state space. It was through work in this direction that the cell-to-cell mapping methods were introduced.

The book focuses on the nonlinear dynamics based on the vector fields with bivariate quadratic functions. This book is a unique monograph for two-dimensional quadratic nonlinear systems based on bivariate vector fields. Such a book provides different points of view about nonlinear dynamics and bifurcations of the quadratic dynamical systems on linear and nonlinear bivariate manifolds. Possible singular dynamics of the two-dimensional quadratic systems is discussed in detail.
