"Silver" marks the silver anniversary of Grammy-nominated jazz collective Fourplay, a supergroup consisting of bassist Nathan East, keyboardist Bob James, guitarist Chuck Loeb (who joined five years ago) and drummer Harvey Mason. Over their 25 year history, the four musicians have continued to explore together and celebrate their unprecedented bond with their most wide-ranging and gratifying recording to date. Following the theme of the occasion, most of the original compositions play off the anniversary and just like its namesake, Silver shines, each track a brilliant example of what has made this formidable ensemble one of the most respected in the jazz world. Former members Lee Ritenour and Larry Carlton return to Fourplay as guest artists on the album.

First released in 1997, "The Best Of Fourplay" showcases the smooth jazz supergroup's signature style of indelible melodies, tasteful arrangements and addictive, toe-tapping grooves. Besides choice album cuts from Fourplay's Warner Bros repertoire, the 13-track compilation includes the band's hit versions of Marvin Gaye's "After The Dance", fronted by the silky-voiced El DeBarge, and the Isley Brothers’ "Between The Sheets", featuring legendary soul singer, Chaka Khan. The new edition of the album includes the bonus track, "The Closer I Get To You", a duet between Patti Austin and Peabo Bryson. The album was remastered using hi-resolution digital transfers from the original analogue master tapes.

Lee Ritenour is one of music’s greatest players; his historic career spans five decades and boasts over forty albums. For his latest release, Rhythm Sessions, the legendary guitarist enlists a star-studded cast of veterans and promising newcomers including Chick Corea, Dave Grusin, George Duke, Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller and winners from his Annual Six String Theory International Competition. This diverse project features a variety of sounds and grooves, all rooted in jazz, but with hints of funk, R&B, Latin and world music. Focusing on the rhythm sections, Ritenour penned various tracks and selected works by greats including Herbie Hancock and Nick Drake. This multi-layered and multi-textural work is engaging from the first note.

THE HANG is a jam session like no other, performed by a top-notch group of pedigree musicians from around the globe, brought together by the acclaimed keyboardist Don Grusin, whose belief in the power of collaboration and spontaneity certainly makes good here. "A Twist of Rit" is Lee Ritenour’s 2015 Concord Records release. A star-studded band performs a number of new compositions combining with fresh, “twisted” versions of some of his earliest funky, fusion material from the 70s and early 80s. Combining some of the hottest rhythm players out there, including Ron Bruner Jr., Chris Coleman, Dave Weckl, Melvin Davis, Paulinho Da Costa, Michael Thompson, John Beasley, Patrice Rushen, and Dave Grusin with a five piece Horn Section and Ernie Watts on tenor sax, A Twist of Rit will make for one of his most special releases to date.

Drummer Alphonse Mouzon's fourth solo album, "The Man Incognito", was recorded in Los Angeles in late 1975 and released in 1976. Mouzon is surrounded on these nine original songs by a large and impressive group of musicians and backing vocalists including Tom Scott on saxophones, Lee Ritenour on guitar and keyboardists Dave Grusin, David Benoit and George Duke (billed here as Dawilli Gonga).

The debut album for contemporary jazz quartet Fourplay charted at #1 on the Billboard Jazz Charts and was certified platinum, making it one of the most successful smooth-jazz sellers in history.
