Max Greger was a German jazz musician, saxophonist, big band bandleader and conductor. He recorded over 150 records in jazz and pop music.

It’s only recently that Bronsart von Schellendorf’s career as a composer has been more widely acknowledged. Liszt, however, was aware of Bronsart’s prowess, referring to his orchestral work Frühlings-Fantasie as “beautiful and invaluable” and later declaring “I value him as a character and a musician.” Even a cursory listen to the Piano Concerto reveals a composer working in ambitious dimensions and with an extrovert musical language. Rich in melodic and emotional content, Bronsart’s piano writing gives ample opportunity for virtuoso display while delivering his musical arguments with power and precision. Bronsart's good friend Hans von Bülow, another pupil of Liszt, had toured the work from 1870 onwards.

The Athens State Orchestra is the oldest symphony orchestra in Greece. On the occasion of Mikis Theodorakis' 100th birthday, GENUIN evokes the spirits of his homeland and of classical antiquity in three symphonic works by Greece’s most famous composer—works that played an important role toward the end of his life: from the early „Sinfonietta“ in a new version, through the folk-inspired „Rhapsody for Guitar and Orchestra“, to the equally moving nine-part „Rhapsody for Cello and Orchestra“, Theodorakis’s last orchestral work. The young, rising Kornilios Michailidis leads Greece’s premier orchestra with verve, while the album’s soloists contribute at the highest standard of playing to these remarkable recordings!

This release is the world première recording of Estonia’s first major work in art music in its original score and sung in Estonian. Rudolf Tobias (1873–1918) is widely celebrated in Estonia as the ‘father of Estonian music’ and considered as the first Estonian composer to have obtained a degree in composing after completing his studies at the St Petersburg Conservatoire. In this recording the composer’s magnum opus, Joonas (Jonah Oratorio) is performed by a first-class Estonian line up led by the award-winning ensembles Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra and conductor Tõnu Kaljuste.

Music lovers all over the world appreciate the unique sound of Viennese strings. However, there is another special sound – that of the Viennese oboe. Sebastian Breit, principal oboist of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, puts his instrument in the spotlight on an album released by Supreme Classics. These are discoveries from the ‘golden era’ of the Viennese oboe. These rarities charmingly demonstrate why the Viennese oboe is ‘different from the others’.

Series of award-winning recordings by the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and conductor Nicholas Collon continue with a new album of orchestral works by Richard Strauss (1864–1949). This release includes Strauss’ longest and final major orchestral work, the Alpine Symphony together with Four Songs, Op. 27 sung by soprano Louise Alder, one of the most in demand singers today.

Trio X is one of Sweden’s foremost improvisational groups. The trio’s distinctive feature is exploratory and boundary-crossing music, and the experienced musicians find inspiration in many genres. Lennart Simonsson, Per V Johansson, and Joakim Ekberg started collaborating in 2002, and since then they have made several recordings, worked with numerouswell-known artists, and toured in Sweden and abroad.

When Goteborg Jazz Orchestra (GJO) - and the founders Mats Eklund and Johnny Olsson - laid out plans for the band's Monday night concerts for 2021 they came up with the concert series "Swedish Jazz Heroes", playing the music and telling the story of the role models who have shaped Swedish jazz of today. They came across the trombonist Eje Thelin and his last work, the suite Raggruppamento. The suite was firts performed and recorded live by the Radiojazz gruppen (RJG) in 1989 in the presence of Eje, but since he himself was too ill, he chose to let guitarist Goran Klinghagen play his feature parts and solos.

This new album from pianist Peter Jablonski and the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra under Lukasz Borowicz, includes the world premiere recording of pianist-composer Andre Tchaikowsky's (1935-1982) 1st Piano Concerto and the first studio recording of the composer's 2nd Piano Concerto together with the Piano Sonata.

"Songs for Times and Seasons" is a classical music album by composer Hugh Benham, featuring soprano Amy Carson and pianist Nicola Rose, which is scheduled for release on November 7, 2025. Carson and Rose are listed as the performers on the album, which includes pieces like "Lovely Spring," "Love and Friendship," and "An Autumn Rain-Scene"

In an orchestra, the trumpet, at least until the beginning of the 20th century, is mainly being used to play some kind of fanfare, announcing glory, war or victory. It is safe to say that only in jazz this instrument has shown its full sonic and emotional potential. The muted trumpet of Miles Davis has nothing to do with triumph. But of course, jazz trumpet players can just as well use the techniques and styles of classically trained musicians. In a decent jazz orchestra, first trumpet and drummer always take the lead.

This project is a deeply personal musical album rooted in Jewish themes, reinterpreted through the lens of personal history, memory, and a search for identity. At its centre is Kol Nidre–an ancient prayer that has long sparked debate and inspired classical composers. The album weaves together tradition, childhood memories, forgotten music, the voices of repressed composers, and musical bridges between cultures. It is more than just a collection of pieces - it is a musical reflection on heritage, hope, and belonging. The album includes two world premiere recordings.

On 'Changing perspectives' German composer and clarinettist Rebecca Trescher offers her fellow musicians rhythmically, melodically, and motivically challenging pieces that also provide opportunities for adventure. Music that moves beyond standardised forms and requires everyone in the ensemble to step out of their comfort zone and be prepared to experiment with shifting roles.

The new album by bossa nova legend and harmonica master Mauricio Einhorn - produced by Jacques Muyal. With the Idriss Boudrioua Orechestra arranged by Rafael Rocha and with guest artists Paquito D´Rivera and Lula Galvão. In jazz, we all know the harmonica master, Mr. "Baron" Toots Thielemans, but we are equaly fortunate to have our "Prince", Mauricio Einhorn. His early contributions in the 1950s to the birth of the Samba Jazz movement in Brazil played a pivotal role in the creation of Bossa Nova, a genre that quickly became an integral part of the jazz world. The influence of jazz on Brazilian music - exemplified by the great Carlos Lyra in "Influencia Do Jazz" - was so profound that local musicians embraced it to forge a new musical identity. Many of Einhorn´s compositions have become timeless standards performed worldwide since the early 1950s and ´60s.
