This album is a very special project to me. Not only is it the first set of music I have released under my name, but I believe it accurately reflects my musical upbringing and interests unlike anything I have done before. Hypsometric shows a wide variety of my musical interests, including R&B, rock, funk, soul, and straight-ahead jazz. This wouldn’t be possible without these amazing musicians and friends who agreed to be part of this project. Nelson, Kyle, Noah, and I have years of experience playing in our band, “Bee & The Hive,” as well as jazz gigs all around Oklahoma. This was my first time playing with Dennis on keys, but I knew he would be the perfect person for this project - and I was correct! I want to thank everyone who played on this album, Brian Gorrell for providing me such a great music production education, and all of my music teachers I’ve had in my life. This couldn’t have happened without you!
