Bassist, composer, and producer Michał Barański has released his new album, "No Return No Karma," five years after his successful, Jazz Fryderyk-awarded debut, "Masovian Mantra." This album showcases his artistic maturity, openness to cultural dialogue, and boldness in stylistic experimentation. "No Return No Karma" is a multi-layered musical narrative that blends jazz with elements of Indian rhythmic mathematics, European sensibility, and subtle references to Polish folk music. The album, which resists simple classification, is a manifesto of Barański's artistic freedom and offers a reflection on the multicultural, volatile contemporary world. The core sound is established by the quartet featuring Barański, Shachar Elnatan (guitar, oud), Michał Tokaj (piano, synthesizers), and Łukasz Żyta (drums). They are joined by notable guests, including vocalists Aga Zaryan, Kuba Badach, and Michał Rudaś, trumpeter Tomasz Dąbrowski, and tabla and konnakol master Bodek Janke.
