Budgeted at somewhere between $10-25 million, the disaster drama is based on the 1976 Tangshan earthquake that claimed the lives of atleast 240,000 people and severely injured a further 164,000, making the tragedy the largest earthquake of the 20th century by death toll. It deals with the heartbreaking fallout between a mother (Fan Xu) and her quake surviving daughter (Jingchu Zhang) and their eventual reconciliation. Media Asia has debuted the first trailer which in actuality is really more of a clip featuring a little girl waking up amidst of the corpses and devastation.

In seguito paga un truffatore per fare ammettere al provino la figlia: la bambina viene finalmente ammessa. Maddalena riesce a vedere la proiezione e mentre vede la figlia che piange amaramente nella sala l'entourage del regista si sbellica dalle risate. Indignata si rende conto di aver sbagliato tutto e, quando la figlia viene effettivamente scelta per il film, rifiuta di firmare il contratto riconciliandosi col marito.

Leong's honesty wins Kuen's heart as the thugs close in on them. It is found that actually Fey stole the loot and framed Sing. Zee asks Leong, Kuen, and Sing for help. In a showdown fight, the thugs are subdued, Zee rejects Sing's advances and Kuen opts for Leong, Sing is back where he starts -moneyless, jobless and loveless.
