"Golden Age of Crossover" is a compilation of fusion music selected by Japanese audio critic, Yoshio Obara. With the cooperation of JVC/Kenwood Victor Entertainment, Obara has carefully chosen 13 tunes of Japanese fusion — all of which are his favorites from school days — from its music list, especially from those recognized their excellence in sound creation. This new disc by Stereo Sound label have been released under label's "Critics Series" mark, that have been produced as reference discs for the auditioning of audio components and are one of well-received "Reference Record Collections".

Recorded live in concert at Tokyo Yubin Chokin Hall on June 2, 1973, Hino and his quintet clearly showed that they were steeped in the "free" mode of operation, but their performance is engaging and does not leave the audience behind. Wild and unpredictable improvisations coexist with lyrical and rhythmic playing. A brilliant performance with many instances of amazing interplay.

Released in Japan as part of Three Blind Mouses' label collection, this live album features "Greensleeves" by Masayuki Takayanagi, the monumental work in Japanese Jazz history.

German avant-garde jazz pianist Joachim Kühn relocated to California in the mid-1970s and teamed up with drummer Alphonse Mouzon on this 1977 release of atmospheric West Coast fusion.
