    With Carla Olson and Gene Clark two extraordinary talents met. In each of the songs you can feel the bond between the two musicians. Olson's powerful singing blends wonderfully with Clark's soulful performance.

    Both songwriters surpassed themselves here. Olson's "The Drifter" and "Are We Still Making Love" are fantastic country-folk songs, while Clark contributed one of his best compositions with "Gypsy Rider", which can be understood as autobiographical.

    Chemistry is the keyword on this album. Unfortunately, So Rebellious a Lover remained the duo's only studio recording, as Clark died in 1991. This album not only shows what they could do, but what could have become of them.
