Belgian label Pavane Records is proud to announce the launch of its brand-new jazz collection, and what better way to kick off this musical adventure than with the exceptional album Inner Travels recorded by the talented duo Patrick Deltenre and Ivan Paduart.

Since their first meeting in 1989, Patrick Deltenre and Ivan Paduart have forged a unique musical path. After working together in Aftertouch and recording two memorable acoustic albums (Illusions sensorielles and Folies douces on Igloo records), they each took fascinating musical detours. Patrick found himself working alongside the late great Maurane, while Ivan had the honour of collaborating with the legendary Toots Thielemans.

In 2018, fate brought them together again, this time through a chance encounter with Jean-Didier Boucau. Their duo was revived, and they recorded two successive albums, Hand in Hand and Ear We Are, while setting the stage alight with countless concerts in Belgium, Russia, Portugal, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.

This year, Patrick Deltenre and Ivan Paduart expanded their line-up to include Philippe Aerts on double bass and Steve Shehan on percussion. In addition, the sublime voices of Raphaelle Brochet and Sinne Eeg joined them on a few tracks.

The result of this extended collaboration is the fascinating album Inner Travels, a colourful bouquet of multiple moods. Once again, priority is given to poetry and captivating themes that charm listeners and transport them on this exciting inner journey.
