Kompakt is proud to announce, finally, a reissue of the first, self-titled GAS album. Originally released on electronica imprint Mille Plateaux back in 1996, it’s been unavailable in its original form ever since – the version of GAS included in 2008’s Nah Und Fern box featured several different tracks. Here, however, GAS is restored in all its glory, the debut full-length from Wolfgang Voigt’s most enigmatic, quixotic project.

Another Day’ is the latest album on Mute by techno pioneer Chris Liebing. ‘Another Day’ follows ‘Burn Slow’ and explores a stunningly expressive, euphoric and melodic side of Liebing’s technical arsenal, while maintaining the pulsating threat in his new tracks that usually imbue his club-based DJ stompers. Techno club mixes with a series of collaborators will be released concurrently with each single. The album features a constellation of contributors, including Miles Cooper Seaton, Ladan (Cold Specks), Polly Scattergood, Tom Adams and Maria Uzor (Sink Ya Teeth).

Kiasmos, the duo of Icelandic composer Ólafur Arnalds and Faroese musician Janus Rasmussen, announce details of their long-awaited second album II, set for release on July 5th.

Throughout his influential career, uncompromising French producer Terence Fixmer has straddled a precarious line, master-minding his own strain of taut, dancefloor-ready techno while simultaneously paying respect to the EBM sounds that helped crack open his mind as teenager. On The Paradox in Me, his second album for Mute / NovaMute, Fixmer confronts this duality, stretching the limits of dance music by interlacing evocative, cinematic electronics with pounding, peak-time 4/4 pulses. "There's always a fight between directions," he says.

Mike Paradinas, veteran producer and Planet Mu label owner has written a new album called ‘Grush' and it's full of weird bangers that reclaim the 'dance' part of the woeful term IDM. A back-to-first-principles record, inspired in part by the group of artists IDM was coined for; melodic dance music that didn't come out of urban scenes, but interpreted them from a distance.

A founder member of Uganda's rebellious ANTI-MASS collective (alongside Authentically Plastic and Turkana), Nsasi has built up a reputation with subversive DJ sets, smashing together slowed-down dance anthems and glossy R&B with propulsive fringe club experiments. His debut album is a dynamic, industrial rasp that draws on his expertise behind the decks, expertly meshing rhythms from across the musical spectrum into a coarse, dancefloor-ready frame. With the safety of queer people in Uganda compromised by a conservative, intolerant administration, 'Coinage' acts as a rallying cry for like-minded outsiders that mischievously perverts East African traditional sounds, considering their revolutionary potential within a new context.

"Omen" is a song by Orbital, released as a single in the UK on 11 September 1990. It is the follow-up to their debut single "Chime". Other tracks on the single are the Deeper remix "2 Deep" and "Open Mind".

After teasing its release, Burial has finally shared his new two-track EP, Dreamfear/Boy Sent From Above, on XL Recordings. This is the first time that the British producer, whose landmark albums for Hyperdub helped popularize the label in the 2000s, has released his solo music on a different label.

Joe Patti's Experimental Group is Franco Battiato's twenty-ninth studio album, in collaboration with Pinaxa, released in Italy in 2014 by Universal Records. Battiato aims to return to purely electronic and experimental sounds, in collaboration with Pino Pischetola, aka Pinaxa, who has been working with him since 2012, the year the album Apriti sesamo was released.

Loraine James lets her influences run wild on her third Hyperdub volume, sampling DNTEL, Telefon Tel Aviv and Lusine on tracks that dig into her emotional core. Featuring guest appearances from Marina Herlop, keiyaA, Corey Mastrangelo, Eden Samara, George Riley and Contour.

Altered Realities collates most of Banco de Gaia’s remixes since 1990 into one authoritative collection. The very first remix was a baggy version of Beautiful Happiness’s Something Sonic, while the latest is a cosmic re-version of Youth & Gaudi’s Empress of the Tarot. A sonic Banco thread connects them all.

Legendary electronic music duo Orbital return with new album Optical Delusion, the Hartnoll brothers first studio album since 2018’s Monster’s Exist. Recorded in Orbital’s Brighton studio, Optical Delusion includes contributions from Sleaford Mods, Penelope Isles, Anna B Savage, The Little Pest, Dina Ipavic, Coppe, and perhaps most surprisingly, The Medieval Baebes.
