We are a music collective from Scandinavia and Portugal that play totally improvised space rock music. We have released 40 records since 2006. Music for your mind to escape the Matrix… In November 2017, ØSC and BMC played a show in Trondheim, Norway called Freakout in the Fjord, which also featured the local band, Red Mountains. The next day, we were booked into the excellent, Øra studio, one of the best in Trondheim for a jam session. It took a few hours to set up all the gear (2 guitar set ups, 2 bass set ups, 3 drums kits (yes, 3!), modular synth, Fender Rhodes and Oberheim synth and we were ready to go. Four jams were recorded ranging from Miles Davis inspired (Afterglow) to Grateful Dead (Dinner) to heavy space rock (Freakout). It is a hell of a 2hr musical journey.

Recorded in New York in August 1977 and self-released in a meager run of 300 hand-crafted copies, it’s no wonder this record has achieved “holy grail” status among jazz enthusiasts, with original pressings fetching upwards of $2,000 online. Spiritmuse Records’ 2019 reissue mercifully brought this obscurity back to life, complete with remastered sound and liner notes that unpack its legend. But is Peace of Time truly the transcendent masterpiece its cult status suggests, or is it just another overhyped relic from the vinyl-digging frenzy of the 2010s? Let’s dive into this hypnotic, groove-laden journey, explore the musicians behind it, and dissect each track with the precision of a crate-digger combing through a dusty record store.

Following his triumphant comeback special for NBC at the end of 1968, Elvis Presley made a highly-publicized return to live performance in 1969, booking an exclusive engagement at The International Hotel in Las Vegas. Elvis treated audiences to a raucous rock set inspired by the recent sessions for his just-released studio album From Elvis in Memphis, backed by vocal groups The Imperials and The Sweet Inspirations as well as an early version of his famed TCB Band. Live in Las Vegas 1969 showcases this incredible, important phase in Elvis’ career with a previously unreleased set from the first of many engagements at The International Hotel.

The Cure Out of all the bands that emerged in the immediate aftermath of punk rock in the late '70s, few are as enduring and popular as the Cure. Led through numerous incarnations by guitarist/vocalist Robert Smith, the band initially became well-known for its slow, gloomy dirges and Smith's exaggeratedly gothic look, a public image that often hid the diversity of the Cure's music. At the outset, they played jagged, edgy pop songs before slowly evolving into a more textured outfit.

Like the three previous ones, this new volume of Bach organ works contains masterpieces, first and foremost, but also works that have not been clearly authenticated – incertum – and transcriptions of Bach works not originally composed for the organ, but that have definite value.
