Deepspace, the soundrealm of Australian musician Mirko Ruckels, builds musical worlds: cavernous, desolate, crystalline, pulsing, rhythmic, vibrant, luminescent. His newest is a four-part odyssey of twenty tracks ranging from deep drift to neon night-city beats, broaching ambient, chillwave, IDM and space music. Each set of tracks belongs to one of four worlds orbiting a star in a forgotten system: Atlas, located at the edge of known space in a time that is post-earth. The ever-yearning chords familiar from previous deepspace albums are all here, radiating and luxuriating, finding an unusual and beautiful place to inhabit often with a foot-tapping electronic pulse. The planetary revolutions ebb and flow before moving on to new sounds and territories, vibrant and driving.

Roy Montgomery and Martha Skye Murphy first connected when Murphy included one of Montgomery’s songs on a mixtape. Conversations about their respective practices soon followed, revealing a shared musical language. They also discovered they used the same recording device, a Tascam recorder, which prioritises process over correction. Their approach embraces layering, multitracking, and imperfection. Since then, they have developed an ongoing creative relationship, regularly sharing music and crossing paths in various projects. Montgomery later featured on Murphy’s 2024 album Um, released via AD 93 to critical acclaim, while Murphy joined Montgomery during his summer 2023 residency at Cafe OTO.

MEGACHURCH is a collaborative album by Perry Frank & Matteo Cantaluppi, featuring Marco Scipione on processed saxophone. Combining ambient textures, analog arpeggiators, and sculpted timbres, the record explores the idea of the “church” not as a religious site, but as a mental and acoustic space.

The compositions of Colleen, aka multi-instrumentalist Cécile Schott, are as richly varied as they are precise. Each of Colleen’s albums is shaped by her predetermined distinct instrumentation and parameters, including works composed entirely of music boxes, pocket synthesizers, and baroque stringed instruments. On April 10, 1977, Tangerine Dream unleashed their machines at Montreal's Place des Arts for a now-legendary concert. Broadcast live on CHOM-FM, the set—structured yet feverishly alive—stands as a peak of their first North American tour. Sequencers in overdrive, feral guitars, Moogs on the edge of collapse: a full-blown electronic trip. Laserium drenched the hall, Baumann ruled the modulations. 125 decibels of controlled vertigo. Montreal had no idea what was coming. And when it ended, it begged for more.

Electro pioneers Tangerine Dream had a dozen top 20 albums on both sides of the Atlantic in the 1970s, and scored some of Hollywood’s biggest 1980s movies. Side 1 of this clear vinyl 12’’ EP features 2 tracks from best-selling game Grand Theft Auto V, which took just three days to hit one billion dollars in retail sales. This instalment featured the first original score in the GTA series, composed by Tangerine Dream amongst other notable names. Happy Ending is a new piece using fragments and ideas of No Happy Endings from the original score. Los Santos City Map is a previously unreleased 2026 re-recording of the infamous music for the game’s pause and navigation screens. The B-side features a new 2026 recording of Love On A Real Train, Tangerine Dream’s best-known track, from 1983 box office smash Risky Business starring Tom Cruise. Mastered at Abbey Road by legendary cutting ace Miles Showell and pressed at Optimal in Germany, the EP is presented in a stylish sleeve by Invisible Hands Music.

A proud exponent of the São Paulo scene known for its subversive, alternative music underbelly, Naná Rizinni is a drummer, producer, and composer who bridges improvisatory flavours with progressive electronics, Brazilian rhythms, and expansive textures. Now based in London after making the move across continents in 2020, her new album ‘Epiblast’ chronicles a journey of transformation, rebirth, and personal evolution. The record will be released digitally and on vinyl on Friday, 24th April, via Bridge The Gap.

Richard Barbieri remains one of contemporary music's most distinctive voices. Emerging as a key architect of the late '70s/'80s synthesiser revolution with David Sylvian's art-rock ensemble "Japan", his visionary synthesiser programming expanded the horizons of electronic music and left a lasting mark on artists from The Human League and Duran Duran to Gary Numan and Talk Talk. His subsequent and ongoing tenure with Steven Wilson's legendary progressive outfit Porcupine Tree across albums such as In Absentia (2002), Fear Of A Blank Planet (2007) and most recently, Closure/Continuation (2022) further affirmed his status as one of the most intuitive and unique musicians of his generation.

The first song cycle collaboration by this new partnership is a highly adventurous and ambitious work, and one which explores a journey through dark places expressed in an improvisation-based language of strange sounds and textures, plus some unexpected left turns into electronic and choral music, before emerging from the woodland and into the morning light.

Utilizing piano, synths & processing, twenty-six-year-old Norwegian Arin Aksberg's SOLSKINN is the sound of longing for something while inexorably moving toward it. Rather than pushing the listener forward, the sparse, sensitive ambient drone gently carries one through darkness towards light. Granular textures create friction and motion, while harmonic elements provide a sense of direction.

Alongside with the release of the new album “Tote Winkel”, Sankt Otten will be delighting us with another limited vinyl bonus release. “Hymnen und Helden” (hymns and heroes) is a collection of cover versions created over the last few years. As the album title suggests, it pays homage to self-proclaimed musical hymns and heroes from the seventies and eighties.

Last year, Sankt Otten presented a new Krautrock gem with their album "Tote Winkel". To shorten the wait for their next album, they now gift us with an extraordinary digital release. "Tanz das Kraut" (Dance the Kraut) is an homage to the sound that became known worldwide as Krautrock and to the musical pioneers of over 50 years of German music history.

Erik Wøllo’s latest, SNOW TIDES, artfully weaves rich electronic layers and sonic textures guiding listeners from reflective serenity to expansive grandeur, from calm introspective passages to sweeping majestic auditory adventures. Guitars and synthesizers unfold onto a sparkling snowy sanctuary, encapsulating the serene beauty of nature’s whispered stillness. Spanning 55 minutes, the 10 tracks draw deeply from Norway’s stunning natural environment reflecting the rugged terrain and long winters of Erik’s homeland. Articulating the quiet of winter, a period Erik regards as his most creative, the slower rhythms and introspective stillness bring solitude and emotional depth to these compositions.

France's near-revolution of May '68 was the zenith of that generation's struggle for a new kind of life. It kicked the country's small, but vibrant, counter-culture into overdrive, and birthed a local underground music scene. The bands it spawned made music with much less rock purity than groups from the UK and US. Their musical and cultural influences foregrounded improvisation, disjunction, and genre-blending: Soft Machine, Pink Floyd, Frank Zappa, free jazz, and radical politics. The introduction of the synthesiser in the early 1970s added fuel to the fire.
