This is a joint album by Akiko Yano and Hiromi Uehara, who are both based in New York and continue to perform internationally with their pianos, although in different genres. The album was recorded live at Bunkamura Orchard Hall on September 15, 2016, as part of Yano's 40th anniversary project. It has been five years since the two performed together on "Get Together -LIVE IN TOKYO-" released in November 2011. Like the previous album, this was a "one-night-only" situation, a heated piano session in which the two musicians shared their inspirations in front of an audience of 2,000 people. The album includes 8 songs performed on the day of the show. In addition to popular Akiko Yano songs such as "Tokyo wa Yoru no 7 o'clock," "I'll Fly Away," and "Ramen Tabetai," the album also includes "Dreamer," for which Yano wrote new lyrics to Hiromi Uehara's original, "Koi no Uta," a new song written by Hiromi Uehara, as well as jazz standards, children's songs, R&B and popular songs from the Showa period. The program consists of a medley of cover tunes that traverse the genres and eras.

Time Control is a studio album by Hiromi Uehara's group, Hiromi's Sonicbloom. It's a concept album centered on the idea of time. In addition to Hiromi's original trio, the album features guitarist David "Fuze" Fiuczynski whose technique and tonal approach gives the album its characteristic sound. C. Mishael Blayly of All About Jazz wrote "On Time Control, the pianist largely restricts herself to the acoustic piano, giving the recording a firmly grounded tradition while her approach to the 88, coupled with Fiuczynski's guitar playing, hurl the music into hyperspace. The pianist's classical training is readily evident… Her chordal modulation is breathtaking in its virtuosity".

Beyond Standard is an album by Hiromi Uehara’s group, Hiromi’s Sonicbloom. Contrasted with her previous albums that featured mostly original compositions, this one is a collection of Jazz standards played in a fusion style. Chris Jones of BBC stated "With her usual trio now bumped up by the presence of guitarist David Fiuczynski (in their 'Sonicbloom' format), Hiromi Uehara continues the work of her previous album, Time Control, but this time it's cover versions all the way. The precocious pianist is undeniably, stunningly talented and though her brand of flash ivory tickling is jaw-dropping to behold it's often a little hard to process in digital form".

Another Mind is the debut release from Hiromi Uehara, a jazz and jazz fusion pianist. It was released in 2003 and received the award for foreign jazz album of the year in the 2004 Japan Annual Gold Disc Awards. Peter Marsh of BBC stated "Surrounding herself with a cast of young, gifted musicians, 24 year old Hiromi Uehara's music is audacious, hyperactive stuff. Sticking mainly to acoustic piano, her approach is reminiscent of Oscar Peterson on steroids. Few of the instrument's 88 keys remain untouched for long".

What an astonishing idea: Couple the sensational, genre-defying Japanese pianist Hiromi Uehara with the spellbinding Colombian harpist Edmar Castenada, who proves that his traditional Andean folk instrument is as unlimited as his musical imagination. Both these people are charmers: Since her 2003 debut recording "Another Mind", Hiromi has dazzled listeners with her explosive keyboard technique and performance style. She is classically trained, but clearly loves the spontaneous and unbound aspects of jazz. Castenada, whose father was a famed harpist, hails from Bogota. He emigrated to New York City in 1994, quickly attracting attention. In his hands the harp’s strings ring forcefully, adding unusual counterpoint to jazz’s encounters with all the world's possibilities. What do Hiromi and Castenada sound like in collaboration? Only a few audiences know - this is their first tour together. Bet on their music being fresh and lively.
