Poets of the Fall is an amazing band that keeps getting better with every album. The Alexander Sessions is the best of the best, the prime cuts from some of the previously released tracks. The music engineering on the entire album is amazing, and the vocals are rich and filled with emotion.

Peter and I started playing music together in grade school in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, in a blues trio called Soup, and by 1978 we found ourselves in New York playing in a new band, called the dB’s. After two records together, Stands For deciBels and Repercussion, we went our separate ways for a while—Peter continuing on with the dB’s, then playing keys and guitars on tours with R.E.M., and myself off to make some solo records and produce other artists.

Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum selling band Goo Goo Dolls have announced a surprise extended play titled EP 21, arriving this Friday, April 16th via Warner Records. Produced by frontman John Rzeznik and recorded during the pandemic, the release features stripped-back versions of four fan-favorite tracks from the band’s illustrious catalogue.

Devin Townsend brings to you the Devolution Series: a grouping of oddities and interesting material that he would like people to hear, but that aren’t necessarily a ‘major release’. The series will include all the quarantine songs and concerts, as well as various live shows from the past few years. The band returned to the studio in October, working with producer Billy Bush (Garbage, Muse) and a selection of alternate vocal tracks from Bennington. The concept of an acoustic release was something Grey Daze had discussed prior to the release of Amends, knowing that the songs present an entirely new aspect to the material and spotlight Bennington’s immense talent, something they’d only been able to witness in the studio.
