Marking 100 years since Coltrane’s birth, Charly Records presents France 1965: The Complete Concerts — a landmark 4LP deluxe set housed in a gatefold package with photographs, a concert poster, and new liner notes. This historic collection brings together, for the first time ever, the complete series of performances by the revered John Coltrane Quartet in France in July 1965, capturing the original “classic quartet” lineup — John Coltrane (tenor saxophone), McCoy Tyner (piano), Jimmy Garrison (bass), and Elvin Jones (drums) — during their final European tour together.

"Merry-Go-Round" is drummer Elvin Jones' 1972 Blue Note studio album. The record features an all-star cast including David Liebman, Joe Farrell and Chick Corea, among other notable musicians. The album is a recording filled with originals including Chick Corea's "La Fiesta" and David Liebman's "Brite Piece".

With a red hot three horn front line of Dave Liebman, Frank Foster and Joe Farrell, drummer Elvin Jones pushes some limits on this overlooked 1971 session. Equally noteworthy is newcomer (at the time) Gene Perla on bass and electric bass, while Jones himself propels the set with his trademark powerful drumming.

"Impressions" contains two studio tracks paired with two live songs left over from the same November 1961 recordings that yielded John Coltrane's very successful "Live At The Village Vanguard". There was too much material for one LP so the music had to be divided up, with this second album coming a year after the first.

My Favorite Things is the seventh studio album by jazz musician John Coltrane, released in 1961 on Atlantic Records. It was the first album to feature Coltrane playing soprano saxophone. The record became a major commercial success. In 1998, the album received the Grammy Hall of Fame award. It attained gold record status in 2018, having sold 500,000 copies.

Miles Davis recorded these four songs in 1955 with a band that featured bassist Charles Mingus, who released the LP on his own independent label Debut Records. Davis and Mingus are joined by trombonist Britt Woodman, vibraphonist Teddy Charles and Elvin Jones on drums.

For this 1978 album, drummer Elvin Jones brought along his Jazz Machine, a quintet with the somewhat unusual lineup of two saxophones (Pat LaBarbera and Michael Stuart both on tenor and soprano sax), guitar (Roland Prince), bass (Andy McCloud III) and Jones, of course, on drums. Sax player LaBarbera contributes four of the seven songs here. Ever popular, Jones and his Jazz Machine continued to tour and record right up to Jones's death in 2004.
