Exuding bravado, mystique, and a whole lot of heart, BRKN Love churn out the kind of rock 'n' roll that makes you feel a little freer. Led by vocalist and guitarist Justin Benlolo, the band emerged with their self-titled debut in 2020 and quietly generated over a quarter-of-a-billion streams.

Xenakis Trio refocuses on two major pillars of its repertoire: Iannis Xenakis and Steve Reich. Two distinct visions of contemporary percussion, brought together in a dialogue of materials, rhythms and resonances. Taken from their first album Alliages, these works take on a new dimension here: the warmth of vinyl restores all the density of the instrumental gesture, the grain of the timbre, the raw pulsation of the percussive sound. This edition is a field of resonance - a space where the tectonic forces of twentieth-century music combine with the artistic demands of a trio in search of the limits of sound.

Martin Helmchen begins a complete recording of Schubert's piano sonatas, with four double albums to be released between now and 2028, the bicentenary of the composer's death. The German pianist has spent his musical life with Schubert as a companion. Having played all of his major works, he decided it was time to embark on this adventure. In his view, Schubert demands from the performer "constant virtuosity that is never needlessly complex, set against sober interiority, the exuberant joy of the Ländler, and bouts of dramatic madness".

As often happens, the story begins with Bach at the Loussiers' house. Jean-Baptiste, one of the sons of the famous French composer Jacques Loussier, began learning the piano, music theory and Johann Sebastian Bach at a very early age.

"Two Roots," the album by the duo Atua Blues, marks the musical encounter between Grant Haua, the Maori blues phenomenon, and David Noël, alias Feelgood Dave, lead singer of the SuperSoul Brothers. It was through Dixiefrog Records, their shared label, that these two unique artists first crossed paths in 2022, when Grant invited David to lay his deep, soulful voice on “Please,” the first single from “Karu,” the album by singer Delayne produced by Grant Haua. What was meant to be a simple one-off soon turned into a perfect artistic connection and, eventually, an unshakable friendship one that distance oddly enough only managed to strengthen, confirming that blues truly knows no borders.

On one side, Francesco Corti, one of the most internationally acclaimed harpsichordists and protagonist of five acclaimed albums released by the Arcana label. On the other, Ilya Gringolts, making his debut for the same label: a violinist of extraordinary versatility, committed to contemporary music but also animated by a deep passion for the Baroque repertoire and historically informed performance. Proof of this is his recording of Locatelli's Il labirinto armonico (2021), which was awarded the Diapason d'Or and selected as Editor's Choice by Gramophone.

Completely contrary to the usual image of JS Bach as a recluse in his ivory tower, Amandine Beyer and Gli Incogniti reveal his lively admiration for the Italian music of his time, particularly that of Vivaldi and the brothers Marcello. Here Bach discovered sunlight and luminous colours that never ceased to nourish and inspire his musical imagination.
