Zum 27.Todestag von Falco veröffentlicht SONY MUSIC zum ersten Mal Der Kommissar, Junge Roemer, Rock Me Amadeus, Vienna Calling und Jeanny in atemberaubenden Dolby Atmos-Mixen auf Apple, Amazon Music und Tidal.

Johann Hölzel, better known by his stage name Falco, was an Austrian singer, songwriter and rapper. "Einzelhaft", (Solitary Confinement or Incarcerated!), is his first album. It was released in Austria, Germany, the United States, Japan, Spain, Italy, Canada, Sweden and Finland. The album achieved some success with its flagship single, "Der Kommissar", an innovative and influential German-language rap song.

Junge Römer (Young Romans) is the second album by Austrian pop rock artist Falco, released in 1984. While the phrase in the German language is correctly written "Junge Römer", the title of Falco's album and single in both German and English pressings is "Junge Roemer". The album was a No.1 hit in his native Austria.

Remaster of the late Austrian new waver's biggest U.S. album, which reached #3 when it was first released in 1986. Out of print in the States, it contains all 10 tracks from the original issue, including the #1 smash 'Rock Me Amadeus' and the top 20 hit 'Vienna Calling'.

Posthumous compilation of remixes and extended versions of Falco's famous hits released in 2016.

Auch diese EP enthält einen Mix, der bisher nur auf Vinyl zu bekommen war: den Specially Remixed 7" Edit. Dieser war 1984 lediglich auf einer niederländischen Single erschienen und wurde nun erstmals digital veröffentlicht.

When Falco embarked on his “Emotional” world tour in September 1986, he was at the peak of his career: the fourth album of the same name was #1 in the album charts in Germany and Austria, he had superstar status in the German-speaking world and in the largest part of Europe and “Rock Me Amadeus” from the previous album “Falco 3” brought the Viennese eccentric to number 1 on the Billboard “Hot 100” charts in March of that year – as the only artist in the USA to ever achieve this historic peak with a German-language song could climb. On June 9, 2023, Warner Music will release this top-class contemporary Falco document. “Live Forever: The Complete Show (Berlin 1986)” contains the full-length Berlin concert (22 tracks – 2023 remaster).

"Der Kommissar" is a song first recorded by Falco in Austria in 1981, covered a year later by After the Fire. Originally written by Robert Ponger and Falco, the Falco version reached the top of the charts in many countries.
After the Fire's version featured English lyrics by the band's Andy Piercy. The song peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

"Ganz Wien" hat einen provokativen Text, der ganz gut zu Falco gepasst hat. Damals sorgte es für einen Skandal in Österreich. Aus seinem Debüt-Album "Einzelhaft".

Unmittelbar nach dem Erfolg des "Kommissars" veröffentlichte Nachfolge-Single. Fand bei uns 1982 nur wenig Beachtung.

Ein hervorragende Beitrag aus Falcos genialem LP-Debüt "Einzelhaft", auf dem eigentlich jeder einzelne Titel vollends überzeugte. "Auf der Flucht" ist ein gehetzter, schneller Synthi-Funk-Rock, der nicht nur gehetzt klingt, sondern auch von (von der Staatsmacht) gehetzten, aufmüpfigen Jugendlichen, Hausbesetzern und Alternativen 1968 in Berlin bzw. 1981 in Zürich, gekonnt, gewitzt und zutreffend erzählt. Falco hat sich nicht nur als brillanter Yuppie-Darsteller, sondern auch und gerade als Zeitgeist-Chronist und gleichsam -Kritiker einen sehr guten Namen gemacht!!!
