Record Store Day 2025. Demon Days Live was a limited concert tour performed by the British alternative rock virtual band Gorillaz, in support of their second studio album Demon Days. Demon Days Live consisted of two residencies, with five shows played at the Manchester Opera House in England, and another five played at New York City's Apollo Theater. The Manchester residency was later released onto DVD as Demon Days: Live at the Manchester Opera House. One of the New York shows was broadcast on MHD (now MTV Live) as Gorillaz: Live in Harlem The Manchester Opera House film was later nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Music Film. A live recording of the Apollo Theater performance was released as a double LP for Record Store Day in April 2025

Before coming together these artists co-founded seminal bands (Nickel Creek and Crooked Still) and since have collectively contributed to critically acclaimed albums from esteemed artists including Yo-Yo Ma, The Civil Wars, Kris Kristofferson, John Mayer, Alison Krauss, John Prine, and many others.

This will be the 4th album soundtrack released by M83 and was recorded in both France and the US by M83's leading man, Anthony Gonzalez, along with regular M83 contributors, Joe Berry & Clement Libes. The film 'Dakar: Race Against The Desert' will be released digitally by Universal Pictures on the 12th May and the film will get its World-wide cinematic premiere on the 26th June at the MK2 Bibliotheque in in Paris.

Primal Scream have announced details of a new album of remixes titled, Come Ahead: The Remixes Vol 1 (Vocals) due for release via BMG on 28 March 2025. The news arrives before The Come Ahead Tour, Primal Scream’s first UK and Ireland headline shows since 2023, beginning 31 March.

Musician, composer and producer Sam Beste, aka The Vernon Spring, muddles cinematic spoken word segments with cosmic piano flourishes and jazzy, dusty rhythms on 'Under a Familiar Sun'. Beste has played piano on an impressive number of records, from Leon Vynehall's 'Nothing Is Still' to Kano's 'Hoodies All Summer'. As a solo artist, he prefers to work as The Vernon Spring, accenting his limber piano performance with kaleidoscopic electronic processes and collaborations. Acclaimed English writer Max Porter reads over Beste's muted Duval Timothy-style tones on 'The Breadline', and Hamburg's Iko Niche is barely audible on 'Mustafa', her digitally-altered voice woven into Beste's patchwork of electric piano vamps and field recordings. 'Under a Familiar Sun' is engagingly sincere, and Beste's a talented producer - the tracks featuring New York-based polymath aden on vocals, 'Esrever Ni Rehtaf' and 'Counted Strings' stand out particularly. Her soaring, breathy vocals are the perfect foil for Beste's cosmic tones.
