Reading Group is thrilled to introduce the debut LP from a new improvising group of three singular artists: Fred Moten (voice), Brandon López (double bass), and Gerald Cleaver (drums). López and Cleaver have been improvising together as a duo for a number of years, over which they’ve developed a secret, unspoken language of organically growing repetitive figures in a wide range of sonic palettes.

San Francisco's Moon Duo are a psychedelic band with chilly electronic underpinnings and drones inspired by Spacemen 3, Silver Apples, and Suicide. Made up of the duo of guitarist Ripley Johnson (of Wooden Shjips) and keyboardist Sanae Yamada, the template on their initial recordings pairs churning distorted guitars, shared vocals, and pulsing organ over machine-driven Motorik rhythms. It sounded honed to perfection early on with albums like their debut, Escape, and especially 2011's Mazes, where they began writing songs with sharp hooks.

Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Kristian Bush has announced the third installment of his four-album, layered release. “52-New Blue” will be released Sept. 30. In celebration, Bush shared two new tracks from the collection: “Diamond Motel” and “When’s The Last Time (feat. Dark Water)."

Unfold, the lost follow-up album to Melody’s Echo Chamber’s self-titled debut, will now be available on LP. In their unexpurgated and unvarnished states, sometimes almost finished and sometimes in fragments, Unfold’s seven tracks demonstrate a splurge of righteous creation cut off at an inopportune moment and preserved like the ruins of Pompeii.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 10th - Californian Southern rockers Robert Jon & The Wreck in association with Joe Bonamassa’s record label KTBA Records, are pleased to announce the release of Wreckage Vol. 2 on Friday September 30, 2022.

The record is the British R'n'B and pop superstar's first since 2018's "The Time Is Now." in 2019, he also released two songs, "When You Know What Love Is" and "Do You Miss Me Much."

Dysphotic Zone is a freely improvised solo piano album and it's Margaux Oswalds debut recording for Clean Feed. The unedited performance was recorded live at the Monopiano Festival in Stockholm.

The Will to Live was produced by Titus Andronicus singer-songwriter Patrick Stickles and Canadian icon Howard Bilerman (Arcade Fire, Leonard Cohen, The Whole Nine Yards) at the latter’s Hotel 2 Tango recording studio in Montreal. Drawing on maximalist rock epics from Who’s Next to Hysteria, Bilerman and Stickles have crafted the richest, densest, and hardest hitting sound for Titus Andronicus yet. All at once, the record matches the sprawl and scope of the band’s most celebrated work, while also honing their ambitious attack to greater effect than ever before. “It may strike some as ironic we had to go to Canada to record our equivalent to Born in the USA,” quips Stickles, “but the pursuit of Ultimate Rock knows no borders.”

Hoechan Lee’s sensitive renditions of the Romantic repertoire have made him one of Korea’s fastest rising cellists. His takes on classics by Franz Schubert as well as Robert and Clara Schumann are like letters to his audience – telling a personal story between two continents and his love for the music uniting them.

As the sun sets on a quaint East Nashville house, a young man bares a piece of his soul. Facing the camera, sporting a silky suit jacket/shirt/slacks/fingerless gloves ensemble that announces "singer" before he's even opened his mouth, Lee Tracy Johnson settles onto his stage, the front yard. He sways to the dirge-like drum machine pulse of a synth-soaked slow jam, extends his arms as if gaining his balance, and croons in affecting, fragile earnest, "I need your love… oh baby…" Dogs in the yard next door begin barking.

Extended guitar hero Oren Ambarchi returns with Shebang, the latest in the series of intricately detailed long-form rhythmic workouts that includes Quixotism (2014) and Hubris (2016). Like those records, Shebang features an international all-star cast of musical luminaries, their contributions recorded individually in locations from Sweden to Japan yet threaded together so convincingly (by Ambarchi in collaboration with Konrad Sprenger) that it’s hard to believe they weren’t breathing the same studio air!

Alison Sudol is an American singer-songwriter, musician and video director. Having released 3 critically acclaimed albums under the moniker A Fine Frenzy (EMI) during which she toured with Rufus Wainwright and opened for The Stooges at SXSW, Sudol has released music under her own name since 2017. Still Come the Night is her debut album as Alison Sudol. Her acting credits include the Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them franchise, plus TV series Dig and Transparent.

A return to the recording scene, from respected vocalist Nicki Leighton-Thomas, featuring pianist Simon Wallace, saxophonist Dave O'Higgins, Steve Waterman on trumpet, Alec Dankworth on bass and drummer Roy Dodds.
