For IT DEEL II the Kleefstra Bros have collaborated with the Norwegian duo Espen Reinersen and Einvind Lønning (who also collaborate as duo Streifenjunko). Ten years ago the Kleefstra Bros saw Streifenjunko perform at WORM, Rotterdam (NL), and this always stuck in memory. This is why now for IT DEEL II they got together.

On Subtracted Soundscapes, Johan Agebjörn reworks eight pieces from across his career into something warmer, calmer than the originals—but no less moving and profound. Unlike the original versions, these “subtracted” updates are entirely beatless; the sonic threads of the originals unraveled and rewoven.

Leopoldine Blahetka was an Austrian composer of the 19th century. One of her most famous works is the "Grand Duo" for piano four hands. The piece is characterized by its passionate and virtuosic music, which requires both technical skills and musical sensitivity. The "Grand Duo" is an impressive example of Blahetka's compositional talent and her contribution to 19th century piano music.

The acclaimed New York saxophonist Javon Jackson leads a celebration of the music of Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn, whose collaboration began in 1938 and continued until Strayhorn's death in 1967. Jackson is joined for this session by arranger/pianist David Hazeltine, bassist Paul Gill and drummer Tony Reedus. Together they perform well-known compositions such as "Caravan", "Chelsea Bridge", and "Lotus Blossom", as well as tunes that are not usually played by quartets such as "In My Solitude". The two soloists, Jackson and Hazeltine explore the bluesier and moodier side of Ellington's music as well as ballads like "Warm Valley" and slightly more up-tempo tunes like "In a Sentimental Mood".

Sonic Moon is the sound of Kevin Starrs meeting Josh Homme on an acid trip in the dark Scandinavian winter. It is heavy guitar-riffs, drowned in fuzz and delay, carried through by a swaying drum- and bass-section, complimented by a raw and melodic vocal.
