Apparently, there was a gap in the Beatles' catalog, after all – all the big hits weren't on one tidy, single-disc compilation. It's not the kind of gap you'd necessarily notice – it's kind of like realizing you don't have a pair of navy blue dress socks – but it was a gap all the same, so the group released The Beatles 1 late in 2000, coinciding with the publication of their official autobiography, the puzzlingly titled Anthology. The idea behind this compilation is to have all the number one singles the Beatles had, either in the U.K. or U.S., on one disc, and that's pretty much what this generous 27-track collection is. It's easy, nay, necessary, to quibble with a couple of the judgment calls – look, "Please Please Me" should be here instead of "From Me to You," and it's unforgivable to bypass "Strawberry Fields Forever" (kick out "Yellow Submarine" or "Eleanor Rigby") – but there's still no question that this is all great music, and there is a bit of a rush hearing all these dazzling songs follow one after another.

The first in a series of three double-CD sets of previously unreleased and rare Beatles material, released in conjunction with the mammoth Anthology video documentary. This covers the late '50s to the end of 1964, mixing studio outtakes, live performances, primitive recordings from the Quarrymen/Silver Beatles days, excerpts from the famous 1962 Decca audition, the most notable 1961 Tony Sheridan-era recordings, and brief spoken bits from interviews.

The final installment of the Anthology series has two discs of previously unreleased material from the White Album era through the group's demise in early 1970. In terms of sheer listenability, this may be the strongest volume of the three, if only because it focuses almost solely upon studio recordings rather than mixing live concerts/broadcasts and outtakes. Also, by this time the Beatles had perfected their approach to recording, meaning that even the early/alternate versions of many of their cuts were often of outstanding quality.

These albums were cut for vinyl from the original master tapes using a completely analog signal path and with constant reference to first generation pressings of the original albums. They were made using a Studer A80 master recorder with analog preview & program paths, and a Neumann VMS70 cutting lathe originally installed in Capitol Studios in 1971. This specific all-analog cutting technique allows faithful representation of the full musical range and dynamics present on the original tapes.

Limited edition remastered 50th anniversary picture disc release of the 1971 British comedy film soundtrack album. Performed by THE KINKS with additional orchestral arrangements by Stanley Myers. Their ninth official studio album and last on the PYE label. Previously unreleased in the USA, and the first vinyl re-press in twenty years.

Mono Masters was cut for vinyl by using a completely analogue signal path and with constant reterence to the original cutting notes made for the first pressings of the records included in this compilation. It has been made with current technology and without imposing the restrictions necessitated by the limitations of record players in the 1960s. Consequently, this album reveals more of the content of the audio on the master tapes. The tracks on Mono Masters come from a variety of sources, including single and EP tracks, so it was necessary to compile a new analogue master tape. To avoid the risk of damaging the original masters by removing tracks from their original reels and then returning them, these tapes were copied to a new cutting master created for this release. The master tape for 'Love Me Do' was not kept so a digital copy of a vinyl disc was used.

On Air – Live at the BBC Volume 2 is a 2013 live/compilation album featuring 40 previously unreleased tracks from the Beatles' 1963–1964 BBC Radio broadcasts (accompanied by 23 interview tracks from the associated broadcasts). It was released on 11 November 2013, along with a remastered and repackaged Live at the BBC Volume 1, which was originally released in 1994. The album is available as a two-CD set and a three-LP set. An exclusive limited edition lithographic print is also available from the Beatles online store.

Early copies were sold with a black and white promotional picture with "exclusive Capitol Records recording stars" written on the bottom. These copies also had a hype sticker affixed to shrink.

A surprisingly strong collection of mid-'60s sides from British Decca, which was never perceived as that strong a label. Prepared by two experts from New Musical Express, this features the expected sides from Small Faces, Bowie, and the Zombies, but also all the blues (Alexis Korner, Cyril Davies), punk (Rocking Vickers), and psychedelic acts (Honeybus) that never made it here.

Double album featuring live performances by The Beatles, recorded in late December 1962 at the Star-Club during their final Hamburg residency. The performances were recorded on a home tape machine using a single microphone - resulting in a low fidelity recording. Ted "Kingsize" Taylor began to investigate possible marketing of the tapes in 1973. The tapes were eventually bought by Paul Murphy and subjected to extensive audio processing to improve the sound, leading to the 1977 album.
The album provides historic insight into the group's club act in the period after Ringo Starr joined but before the emergence of Beatlemania. The Beatles were unsuccessful in legally blocking the initial release of the album; the recordings were reissued in many forms until 1998, when The Beatles were awarded full rights to the performances.
