Florence Price had worked for some years as a silent film organist before she won admiration in 1932 for her Symphony No. 1 in E minor. Works for organ form one of the largest parts of Price’s output with a particular gift for writing miniatures, exemplified by the four short works presented here. On 11 October 2024, Goat released their latest – and some say greatest album, simply titled ‘Goat’. To celebrate the one-year anniversary of their monumental release, the band handed over all the original stems to their good friend, the enigmatic producer ‘human language’, and gave him complete freedom to remix the album however he saw fit.

Ruby Rushton’s fifth studio album Legacy! written by band leader Tenderlonious and keys player Aidan Shepherd, marks a new chapter for the hugely influential UK jazz group. In the past the band - which also includes trumpeter Nick Walters and drummer Tim Carnegie - worked with a “one take” live approach; avoiding the use of overdubs. For Legacy! the four musicians decided to combine their virtuosic abilities with Tenderlonious’ studio production skills. Each of the compositions sees layers of horn and flute lines added to the melodies on top of the original live takes. The result is impressive; the listener is left with a wider sonic spectrum than previously heard on Ruby Rushton albums.

Naked Eyes is a British new wave band best known for their 1983 hit 'Always Something There to Remind Me'- a synth-pop cover of the Burt Bacharach and Hal David standard which became a top ten hit in the US. Formed by Pete Byrne (vocals) and Rob Fisher (keyboards) in Bath, England, the duo gained success with their synth-driven sound and melodic hooks. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1983 and features the US Top 40 singles 'Promises, Promises', 'When The Lights Go Out', and 'Always Something There To Remind Me'.Newly remastered by Phil Kinrade at AIR Mastering, the set features a plethora of bonus tracks, with remixes by the legendary producer Jellybean (including a version of 'Promises, Promises' with additional vocals by Madonna), previously unreleased demos, and B-sides from the era.
