Jazz Giants '58 (Remastered Edition) is a landmark jazz album that brought together outstanding masters of the swing and bebop era: tenor saxophonist Stan Getz, baritone saxophonist Gerry Mulligan, trumpeter Harry "Sweets" Edison, drummer Louis Bellson and the legendary Oscar Peterson trio (Oscar Peterson on piano, Herb Ellis on guitar and Ray Brown on double bass).

Voted New Star on Trumpet in Down Beat’s 1957 Critics Poll and Heard on no fewer than 36 recording sessions that same year, Donald Byrd was one of the fastest-rising talents of the hard-bop movement then reshaping the New York jazz scene.
