For the first time, superdrummer Steve Gadd joins his friends from the "Gadd Gang" days, Eddie Gomez and Ronnie Cuber, for a production with the multiple Grammy Award-winning WDR Big Band. Under the direction of Michael Abene, the result is a fantastically grooving album centered on Steve Gadd and his friends.

In addition to being a multifaceted composer, arranger and conductor, Breiner is also a pianist, and the third volume of his "Calm Romantic Piano Music" series melds melodic substance with delicate musical expressiveness. God” figures in the new album from Philadelphia, PA based Alex Giannascoli's LP’s title, its first song, and multiple of its thirteen tracks thereafter, not as a concrete religious entity but as a sign for a generalized sense of faith (in something, anything) that fortifies Giannascoli, or the characters he voices, amid the songs’ often fraught situations.

Ali Farka Touré trekked the world, bringing his beloved Malian music to the masses.
